It’s further south we go this month, to South Kensington and Courtfield ward.
Stretching from Cromwell Road in the north to Fulham Road in the south, a key theme in Courtfield has been supporting residents to come together and shape the area they live in. This has included helping Ashburn Garden Square Garden Association gain a greater voice on local developments and the fledgling Courtfield Neighbourhood Forum to garner interest and membership.
Improving the area around Gloucester Road has also been a focus with residents coming together and organising flower baskets along the street and there are also plans afoot to replace the ageing fruit kiosk outside the tube station.
Recently, Evolve Housing’s Beacon House – a homelessness service for young people – was awarded funding to run fashion, art and IT workshops, culminating in an exhibition attended by the Mayor of Kensington and Chelsea.
