It’s not just the Arctic elves that have been busy gearing up for Christmas, as residents, groups, businesses and charities in Kensington and Chelsea have been coming together to turn up the festive cheer in the borough. A number of these great goings-on have been supported by local ward Councillors through City Living, Local Life, including:

kicking things off early with the Dalgarno Winter Festival in November;

celebrating Christmas along the King’s Road in Royal Hospital, Stanley and Chelsea Riverside;

helping families experiencing mental health challenges to have the Best Christmas Ever with fresh food, activities, games and presents, including a proper winter coat in Golborne;

illuminating Holland Park Avenue with the Holland Park Village Traders Association as Christmas lights return to area in Holland and Norland;

a special Christmas lunch for members of the St. George’s Lunch Club in Campden;

support for the Stratford Road Business Forum to hold the second Stratford Road Christmas Party on 7 December in Abingdon; and

group gatherings for residents of Nursery Lane and Whitchurch House supported housing schemes in Dalgarno and Notting Dale;

… and with December just over the horizon, expect this list to fill up with more communtiy Christmas events than you can shake a peppermint stick at…
