Did you know that despite being known as one of the wealthiest places to live, 14.3% of Kensington and Chelsea households are classed as being in fuel poverty and there were 122 cold related deaths in Kensington and Chelsea from 2011 to 2014?

In response to these stark statistics, the Kensington and Chelsea Foundation has launched its Winter Warmth campaign, raising funds so that older people in need can be helped with their heating costs and keep warm. Though anyone is encouraged to contribute, the campaign particularly encourages those who receive the Government’s Winter Fuel Payment, to donate all or part of it to a neighbour in need.

Many people have to choose between heating and eating, as rising costs and low pensions squeeze their ability to do both. The Foundation works with partners Age UK Kensington & Chelsea, Citizens Advice and Nucleus Legal Advice Centre, helping to ensure your donation reaches the people who need help most.

You can donate, through the Foundation’s website or by telephoning 0207 229 5499.

100% of all donations received go to those who are most in need.
