Kensington and Chelsea residents! Have you got a few hours a week to spare to spend with local older people living with memory loss?

If so, and you’re a good timekeeper with a warm, friendly and polite manner then befriending can be a truly rewarding way to lend a hand in your local community.

People living with memory loss can become isolated and lose touch with friends and family – many of whom may live a long way away. By visiting someone for an hour or two on a regular basis (timings depend both on your availability and what the person is looking for) you can make a real difference.

On-going training and support is provided by Age UK Kensington and Chelsea.

If you would like to become a befriender, or would like more information, please contact Paul Higgins on phiggins@aukc.org.uk / 07985 718744.
