As part of Dementia Awareness Week, the Royal Borough’s Dementia Action Alliance is pitching up at Portobello to raise awareness dementia and highlighting how you can help.

There are more than 1500 people living with dementia in Kensington and Chelsea alone, and on Friday, 20 May from 11am-4pm you can find out more about building a dementia-friendly community, sign up to get involved with the Dementia Action Alliance and enjoy a range of activities, including:

11am: Sing to Live choir
11.30am – 3.30pm: Dementia Friends sessions
12pm – 12.30pm: local history walk-about (the record shops of Portobello Road)
12.30 – 3pm: Cartoon Connections drawing sessions
2pm – 2.30pm: Local history walk-about (history of Portobello Road, the farm and Portobello Lane)
