It’s that time of year already, as Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland returns to London.  RBKC residents are encouraged to wrap up warmly in festive jumpers, and a mere hop and a skip will land them in the annual gathering of winter markets, festive fairground rides, ice skating, grottoes and more mulled wine  than  you can shake a cinnamon stick at.

WHEN: Winter Wonderland will run from Friday 20 November 20 2015 until Sunday 3 January 2016. It will be open from 5pm on opening night and then from 10am-10pm every day (except Christmas day). Hyde Park Winter Wonderland is busiest during weekends and evenings, so be prepared to queue to get in and to get onto rides during these peak times. If you want to experience the event at a more leisurely pace or have little ones, we recommend you visit on weekday mornings and afternoons and during the school holidays. Then you can experience brunch at Winter Wonderland, browse the Christmas market at a gentle pace, practice your skating moves, visit the new circus area and try out the rides.

WHERE: Hyde Park is pretty big, but can be accessed via Marble Arch, Green Park, Hyde Park Corner, Victoria, Knightsbridge and High Street Kensington.

COST: Winter Wonderland is free, but tickets for iceskating, the circus,  the giant wheel, the magical ice kingdom and other such spectacles can be booked in advance.

A plethora of further information can be found on the Winter Wonderland Website.
