Following the huge success of the monthly film club for the past two years, another season of free Bikeminded films is upon us. Returning to the snug little theatre under the Kensington Central Library for the autumn and winter months, the approach has remained the same: to show world cinema films and independent documentaries with a cycling theme. There will be a screening the last Tuesday of every month at 7.30pm from October 2015 to April 2016, except for November (which is on Friday 27) and obviously December.
The first film, The Kid with a Bike will be screened on Tuesday 27 October. The 90-minute feature film is about the story of a 12-year-old boy searching for his father and his lost bike. Abandoned by his father and left in a state-run youth farm, the boy encounters a kind hairdresser who agrees to foster him on weekends.
