This summer there is a fantastic array of inspirational and healthy activities for people over 50 in Kensington & Chelsea. If you ever wondered how to make the best of the long summer days, or wanted to find an event that caters to an older age group, here is all the information you need!
Open Age is also running daily activities and classes throughout the summer, for a full programme call 020 8962 4141, but for a taster of the activites on offer…
• St. Charles Centre for Health and Wellbeing hosts a number of Open Age events: on 12th August between 11am–3pm they are holding a health day with talks, taster sessions, health checks and more. For information give Jenny a call on 020 8962 5500.
• And between 17th – 21st August Open Age local artists are exhibiting their work at the St Charles Centre – with 19th August being the summer showcase, a fun filled afternoon of performances and creative workshops between 12 – 4pm
• Then on Thursday 20th August Opera Holland Park sing popular classics followed by a coffee afternoon.
Before rounding up with two big events for your calendar:
Open Age is holding its annual Picnic In The Park on 2nd September at Paddington Recreation Ground, Randolph Avenue. There will be activities throughout the day including, tennis, creative writing, digital photography walks, rounders, meditation and a mini tea dance to finish! Activities kick off at 11am and finish at 4pm. The day is free, but please bring your own picnic or you can visit the café on site. It promises to be an action-filled day of fun and laughter!
