Local Healthwatch, known across Kensington and Chelsea, Hammersmith and Fulham and Westminster as Healthwatch Central West London, is funded by the three councils and acts as a consumers’ champion for users of health and social care services. It helps people make choices about services such as which doctor’s surgery to register with or to find out more about social care services and supports individuals who want to make a complaint.
Healthwatch Central West London has been established to ensure that the views of people, patients and carers are represented and influence the way health and social care services are commissioned and delivered. This service is also expected to feed back information to Healthwatch England as well as report concerns about the quality of health and social care providers, independently of the council.
The councils are now in the process of re-commissioning this service, which has been running since April 2013, and want to hear what residents think of it and how they rate the quality of information and support that it provides.
