All residents of Kensington and Chelsea are cordially invited to the Civic Service on Sunday 28 June 2015 at 11.15am at St. Mary Abbots Church, High Street Kensington.

The Civic Service is one of the first major ceremonies in the new Mayoral Year and the recently elected Mayor, Councillor Robert Freeman, is keen to bring together representatives from all strands of Borough life to celebrate the life of our community.

If you would like to attend the Service only, you can just turn up on the day. However, if you contact us before the event, we can send you tickets for an area of reserved seating within the Church and an invitation to join the Mayor, Councillors and others active in public life in the Royal Borough for a short reception at The Town Hall after the Service.

Although it is a Service set within the Christian tradition it does, through words and music, carry many messages for those of other faiths and those with no personal religious beliefs. The address will be given by Monsignor James Curry.

The Service starts at 11.15am and the Reception afterwards runs from 12.30pm until about 1.45pm.

Please RSVP to the Mayor’s Office on 020 7361 2431 or email mayor@rbkc.gov.uk.
