Christ Church 4As a part of the community since 1851, the busy and beautiful Christ Church Kensington has opened its door to churchgoers, schools, community groups and local residents of Queen’s Gate and beyond for celebration, learning and play.

Since last Summer, vital building work has been going on at Christ Church Kensington to ensue that it continues to serve the local area for many years to come, but this – coupled with the hundreds of people who use the facilities of the church each week, not least to sit in their image10peaceful gardens – has taken its toll on the landscape.

So, the Reverend Mark O’Donoghue contacted his local Councillors and through City Living, Local Life has been supported to improve the drainage of the garden that is prone to flooding, re-turf the area to return it to its former glory and plant more flowers and shrubs that will be tended by local residents.

Work is due to begin in May with the refreshed gardens open for all in the Summer to enjoy this quiet oasis in the middle of the Royal Borough!Christ Church 1
