150 yearsPortobello and Golborne Road Market turns 150 this year and each month a different theme of the market is being celebrated. Throughout April the focus will be on music and here’s a taste of what’s lined up:

Friday, April 17: Sing To Live, Live To Sing performance @ Portobello Road

At the 150 Year Celebration stall catch the local community choirs, formed to improve health and wellbeing around Kensington and Chelsea, performing songs from Abba to Jessie J throughout the day.

Saturday, April 18: Record Store Day @ Talbot Road

From long-lost psychedelic vinyl to nu-rave metal mash-ups, pop down to Talbot Road to celebrate independent music stores and the rare, weird and wonderful music on offer.
