The Team London Ambassadors were one of the highlights of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Based at 43 visitor hotspots, travel hubs and tourist attractions, the Ambassadors were London’s ‘friendly face’, on hand to answer questions from tourists and Londoners alike and helping to show the world the very best that London has to offer.
Based around a central information point, a team of 3-5 Ambassadors and 1 Location Manager interact with members of the public on a range of topics such as the quickest route from A to B, suggestions for things to do in the area and information about wider London offerings e.g. museums, exhibitions etc.
In 2014, over 550 volunteers took part in the programme, with 100 new volunteers joining the original 2012 cohort.
Team London are now looking for 150 new Ambassadors, including 20 Location Managers, for the 2015 Summer Programme
(Running for 4 weeks from the end of July)
