Our friend and colleague, Richard Evans, has enjoyed long distance cycling since his early teens. He reckons the older he gets the further he likes to cycle.
Richard cycled around the world on a recumbent bicycle, setting off from London in April 2014. He arrived in one piece six months later, having cycled 22,777 kilometres across 4 continents and 18 countries.
There was no supporting team accompanying Richard in his ride around the world. He did it on his own, but met incredibly warm and kind people along the way. As you can imagine, there is a wealth of stories of people and places in such an unique journey. And Richard has picked the best anecdotes to share with us in this special evening.
