As the nights draw in, the temperatures start to drop and a certain man in the North Pole gets a lot busier, the Royal Borough springs to life to celebrate Christmas throughout December. City Living, Local Life has also been busy supporting a number of projects around Kensington and Chelsea…
The Christmas Lights on High Street Kensington
Through City Living, Local Life, the councillors of Abingdon, Campden, Holland and Queen’s Gate have provided funds and support to the Kensington High Street Business Forum to install the lights that will illuminate the High Street. Why not pop down to the High Street and other local villages (such as the City Living, Local Life supported Stratford Road Village Shops) on Thursday, 4th December, from 6pm to take in the lights on the late night shopping night?
The Dalgarno Winter Festival
City Living, Local Life has also has enabled councillors in Dalgarno to work with the Dalgarno Trust to hold the annual winter festival on Friday, 5th December. The free evening event is designed to bring the entire Dalgarno community together for some seasonal merriment at a time when the pressure is on to save money. As well as local stallholders and fantastic food, there will be carol singing and Santa’s grotto.
The World’s End Over 50’s Christmas Party
In Chelsea Riverside, City Living, Local Life will be helping the Over 50’s club provide a 3 course meal (and a little Christmas gift!) for their 50 members.
Kensington Town Hall will also be hosting The Kensington Christmas Book Fair on Saturday, December 6th from 10.30am-4.30pm where you’ll be sure to find a book for even the hardest to pick for friends or family.
