Tsing_to_live_logohe singing for health programme Sing to Live, Live to Sing! which was set up by the Council has proved popular with residents of all ages and backgrounds.

The Council initiative was launched as a pilot programme in June and was so successful that a new series of taster sessions started in September and further workshops at other venues in the borough are also planned.

A new workshop leader is now running sessions at Dalgarno Community Centre on Mondays, from 2pm to 4pm and on Thursdays, from 5pm to 7pm. Chelsea Theatre is also holding sessions on Tuesdays from 7pm to 9pm and on Fridays from 10am to 12pm.

Feedback from participants has been positive, with residents from the Dalgarno Community Centre workshops saying:

“I came along to the previous series of workshops, I hadn’t done any singing since school before then but I thought why not give it a go?!  I really enjoyed taking part and have been singing every day since then, I couldn’t wait for the next series of workshops to start!”

Irene, a resident

“My wife told me to come back to do more Sing to Live, Live to Sing workshops as she said it’s good for me!” Chris, a resident

“Loving it! The workshop leader Sarah has a great voice, rhythm, exuberance and energy.” Carmen, a resident
