The sun wasn’t the only thing that was a welcome pop-up at Portobello Market as the City Living, Local Life Team pitched up to hear the views, ideas and suggestions of local residents.
Wedged in between one of the market’s fantastic fruit and veg pitches and a handmade jewellery stall, the Team fielded questions about the local area, signed people up to the Community Cuppa so they could find out more about what’s going on in the borough and discussed how to turn their ideas about how to improve their local area into reality.
Suggestions from free table tennis in parks, more benches in Portobello and putting on more evening activities for the older people of the area filled up the map and suggestion box. All suggestions and opinions will be fed back to councillors with some hopefully becoming a City Living, Local Life project.
So, if you have an idea for improving your local area, want to find out more information about what’s happening in the Royal Borough or just fancy drawing on one of our storyboards, keep an eye on our blog for information about our pop-up events touring Kensington & Chelsea.
