The Royal Parks is seeking views on proposals to refurbish London’s historic Brompton Cemetery following an award of £3.7 million from the Heritage Lottery and Big Lottery Funds in January this year. Following a period of consultation ending on 17 October, it expects to submit a planning application to the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea in December 2014.
Residents are welcome to attend a community consultation event in the Cemetery Chapel, southern end of the main avenue: Saturday October 4 11am – 1pm. The event will include a presentation, display of project proposals, opportunity to comment and an art display inspired by the Cemetery and created by young people from the Earls Court Youth Club.
