Come along to The Tabernacle tomorrow, Saturday 9 August, for the free launch event for ‘Carnival: A Photographic and Testimonial History of the Notting Hill Carnival’  by Ishmahil Blagrove and Margaret Busby

The book tells the inspirational story of how the Notting Hill Carnival came to be, featuring testimonials and images from the early years to the present day. There will also be an accompanying photographic exhibition and a talk on the top of the ‘Carnival’s Contribution to Britain’ which will be attended by many of the early pioneers.

The event will end with an awards ceremony to honour those who made the Carnival what it is today.
