Fifty-eight would-be street traders have registered to trade on Portobello and Golborne Road Market and Portobello Green Market during Love Your Local Market Fortnight which runs until 28 May.

Potential traders to take pitches include those selling arts and crafts, vintage clothes, new goods and antiques. In addition a number of local charities, social enterprises and educational institutions have signed up to take stalls including Elisabeth Spring – Sew Portobello, Succeed Foundation, Healthwatch CWL, Healthier Life For You, the Dalgarno Neighbourhood Trust, the K and C Foundation and Kensington and Chelsea College among others.

The £10 a day fee gives traders a temporary street trading licence, a site on the markets, a stall and a street trading information pack.

There is still an opportunity for people wanting to try their hand at market trading to get a taster stall. To register for a stall email marketevents@rbkc.gov.uk or contact the Street Trading Office, 72 Tavistock Road, W11 1AN.
