The Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) identifies the current and future health needs of the local population to inform and guide commissioning of health, well-being and social care services locally.

The JSNA work programme for 2014/15 is currently being developed. To ensure that the work programme fulfils the needs and priorities of local commissioners and decision-makers, the Steering Group are inviting proposals for ‘deep dive’ needs assessments.

In the Tri-borough, a regular ‘highlights report’ is produced which summarises the key statistics, challenges and opportunities for health and wellbeing across the three boroughs. In addition, detailed ‘deep dive’ JSNAs are also produced which address a particular issue, such as a specific health condition, social issue or population group, and suggest recommendations for action. Recent ‘deep dive’ JSNA topics have included Employment Support, Tuberculosis, and people with Learning Disabilities.

If you require any specific intelligence to inform a service redesign, strategy development or procurement plans please contact Colin Brodie, Public Health Knowledge Manager on 02076414632 or email to discuss suggestions in more detail.
