The Mosaic Rooms on Cromwell Road are hosting a series of exciting cultural events in April

10th April at 7pm:  “Mail Box” –  Somali-Italian novelist and poet, Ubah Cristina Ali Farah, will discuss her experiences of growing up in Mogadishu and how this has influenced her writings with Somali British poet Elmi Ali. She will also read from her latest novel Madre Piccola (Little Mother). Entry is free, more information here

16th April at 7.30pm:  “Notes for an African Oresteia” –  A screening of Pier Paolo Pasolini’s lyrical reflections on myth, colonialism and modernity. Pasolini films in Uganda and Tanzania, mulling over possible parallels between Aeschylus’ Orestes trilogy and African politics in the 1970s.  Entry is £5, book online here
